Students can read the story, hear it read to them by the author, or jump right in and join main character Big Anthony in any of nine interactive activities. Big Anthony helps students develop problem-solving skills and encourages reading and storytelling!
Big Anthony lives in the Italian region of Calabria where he helps Strega Nona cure everything from hair loss to headaches. Big Anthony tries to be a good assistant -- but sometimes he gets things a little, well, mixed-up.

Based on the favorite Tomie dePaola book, Strega Nona Meets Her Match, every scene comes alive with fun and possibilities. Students can read the story, hear it read by Tomie dePaola himself, or jump right in and join the action.
